Folk Stories is a slim volume that contain three stories I wrote over the years, two of them going back to my days teaching elementary school. I always said that when you teach, you either tell the truth or you tell stories. I told a lot of stories. The first two stories in this collection come from that time period. "The Young Girl and the Troll" is a story of resilience and determination. "Two Bags of Gold" is the classic story of a simpleton triumphing over dark forces, in this case his ambitious brother.
