Welcome to my website, which is really a jumping off point for the sustaining interests of my creative life: writing books, making music, and taking photographs. These are my avocations, although that doesn't mean they don't generate income; it's just that at this point in my life the scale tips more toward self-expression than monetary reward. The links below will take you to different pages on my website that describe my various creative pursuits.

| Since the early 1990s I've published over thirty books, from picture books for the young child to creative nonfiction for the adult reader. Click HERE to go to the book page on my website where you'll find a sample of my books, including the cover image and a brief description of the contents.

| Like many young people, I took piano lessons, but after several years of study I convinced my parents to let me play guitar. Now, years later, I've moved back to keyboards, but not to the piano per se: I'm drawn primarily to synthesizers. Click HERE to go to my music page where there are links to various sound experiments, from remixed found audio tapes to straight up guitar work.

| For the last few years, I've been interested in photography, especially in the play of light and shadow, in patterns found on reflective surfaces, and, generally, in the uniqueness of found objects. What I feature on my photo page however is something a bit different: they are mandala-like images that I create digitally from a corner or snippet of a photograph. Click HERE to see samples of these images on my photo page.
