Currently, I'm working on an autobiographical piece entitled Dog Eared: A Year's Romp Through the Self-Publishing World that captures my experience transitioning from a traditional author to an independent author/publisher. While the arc of the book follows my yearlong office-cleaning project, the themes touched upon go way beyond reorganizing my book collection and delve into all aspects of the do-it-yourself, self-publishing world. And now you can read the entire book. No, it's not for sale yet, but I am giving 25 copies away through Goodreads leading up to the book's release date of 7 September 2017. So, if you're a member of Goodreads (and if you're not, it's easy to join), click the link below and sign up to win a copy of Dog Ear: A Year's Romp Through the Self-Publishing World.
Over the last few months I published each part as a separate e-book. Then, I combined the four parts to create an Advance Reader Copy (ARC), pulled the e-books, and began sending copies of the ARC to reviewers. I'm now in the final leg of the project having just uploaded it both to NetGalley for more pre-pub reviews and to Ingram for pre-pub orders before the book's release date on Sept. 7, 2017.
